Re: Altec Decals - Group Buy
I know Marty done a nice job ! A very nice collaboration ! :cool2: I have a pretty good impersonation of him myself... I used to play around with voice impersonations back in the day...(80's) Had a lot of fun with it... Ala Rich Little... I had a good John Wayne,Marlon Brando,James Cagney,Bugs Bunny,Porky Pig,Freddie Prinz (Chico)etc,etc..... :wink2:
A modern day impersonator who was really good was Danny Ganz.. He was in Las Vegas until his passing at a very young 52 couple of years ago..
So you guys think these decals are ready to go ?
Re: Altec Decals - Group Buy

Re: Altec Decals - Group Buy
I vote ready to go also. I think that thanks to cradeldorf?s work the files we have can be used to produce restoration quality decals. I?ve been able to produce what I would call display quality decals with artwork that doesn?t represent the latest generation files using only a LaserJet and a gold spray bomb. I?m pretty sure an alps printer could get a step above what I have done and a silk screened decal using cradeldorf?s latest artwork would be virtually indistinguishable from an original. I think it has been a good collaborative effort to this point and the results are good enough for me but my feelings certainly won?t be hurt if anyone wants to pick up the ball and run with it.

I'll check with my cousin, not sure what he can offer but I will find out and report back with what he says. and what he can physically do in his shop. Also we have digital presses here at work. My guess is their pretty much a high dollar xerox machine as they take color toner cartridges.

Marty that decal looks fabulous ! I noticed there is no 3D effect on these, is this what we want to go with ? As I noted there are a few variations with these decals..So these are right in line with one of them.. Also I think the next step should be to determine the cost for each decal and then take orders on who wants some... I have received a few PM's already on Folk's who would like to buy some...
So did we make a decision on who is actually going to print these for us ?

I think you guys have done some amazing work here on this.
One of my other hobbies is keeping marine aquariums...I have been thinking that this decal should look like the side of a Gold Flake Angel fish:

That's what I would like to determine... They look to be spot on to me ! Next step I think is to find someone who can print them. And then calculate material cost, labor costs.Which will determine each decal cost.I think we need to take an accounting on how many we are going to need to print as well....
Re: Altec Decals - Group Buy
I'm not sure who is putting the buy together. I have all of the artwork Cradeldorf sent waiting for whoever is going to pick up the ball and run with it. Cradeldorf has done two final versions (3D and non-3D) in three formats AI, SVG and EPS so we should be ready.
Re: Altec Decals - Group Buy
OK, I thought maybe GM was going to do them on his Alps. I'll hunt around for someone who can do gold and black on waterslide. Setup charges will be high, I imagine.
